Silvia Vassileva｜藝術家簡介

Silvia Vassileva is a contemporary painter based in California. Trained at the Academy of Fine Art in Bulgaria, she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees (some gallery bios also list an MFA). She spent six years living, painting, and exhibiting in Japan before relocating to the United States, where she has lived since 1996. Vassileva describes her approach as “free and bold,” bringing her paintings to life through strong contrast and unexpected color palettes. Working primarily in acrylic and oil, she creates energetic, color-driven works that range from expressive landscapes and cityscapes to more abstract compositions, with her imagery also widely reproduced through art licensing and prints.

Silvia Vassileva 是一位現居美國加州的當代畫家。她於保加利亞的美術學院接受正統藝術訓練，取得學士與碩士學位（部分畫廊資料亦標註為 MFA）。之後她在日本生活、創作與展出長達六年，並於 1996 年移居美國。她形容自己的創作風格「自由而大膽」，擅長運用強烈對比與出其不意的配色，讓畫面更具生命力。其主要媒材為壓克力與油彩，作品常見於富有張力的抽象／表現性構圖，也涵蓋風景與城市意象；同時亦透過授權與版畫形式在市場上廣泛流通。
