Adelene Flecther｜藝術家簡介

Adelene Fletcher is a British watercolour artist trained at Manchester College of Art in the late 1950s. After working in a textile design studio and later as a design consultant, she developed a distinctive command of composition and colour that continues to define her practice. Highly versatile in subject and technique, she is especially known for florals—an enduring fascination rooted in her childhood on a secluded country lane in Surrey, and now expressed through large, vividly coloured blooms such as poppies and sunflowers. In recent years she has become best known for watercolour, exhibiting at prestigious venues including the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and the Royal Watercolour Society, alongside recognition and awards; she also teaches and writes/illustrates her own art books.

Adelene Fletcher 是英國水彩藝術家，1950 年代於曼徹斯特藝術學院受訓，曾在紡織設計工作室任職並進一步成為設計顧問；這段背景也造就她對構圖與色彩特別敏銳、運用精準。她創作題材多元，其中最鍾愛花卉：童年在薩里鄉間小路旁長大，滿野的花草成為她最早的靈感來源，如今則偏好描繪色彩飽滿的大花（如罌粟、向日葵），延續她對花園與自然的熱情。近年她以水彩創作最廣為人知，作品曾於 Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour 與 Royal Watercolour Society 等展出，也與 The Society of Botanical Artists 相關展出並獲得多項獎項；同時投入教學，並出版自寫自繪的藝術書籍。
